BMW Montague folding Mountain Bike 1996 Atlanta Olympics Commemorative model in Dorchester, South Carolina

$300

1996 was the first year for Mountain Biking in the Olympics! This is a folding frame bike. Mfg by Montague it looks like their Navigator model which were made with 4130 cro-moly steel. There was a made in Tiawan sticker on the head tube ( the little silver label backing remains)  I have not attempted to fold it. Bike has a decent mix of good quality components that include the Shimano STX rear derailleur, an avilido front derailleur, and a Alivido  triple crankset.  The set of Araya RM20's spin smooth and true. The Kenda 2.1's are toast but tubes still hold air well. The rear sprockets are a bit rusty as is the chain ( I kept  the chain for you to size the new one for it) the rubber on the grip shifter didn't survive, they do still function properly. The dia-compe brake levers are nice except for the adjuster nuts for the cables are unsightly with rust also a couple spots on the otherwise shiny straight bars. the center pull calipers are in decent shape just could use some new cables and cable housings. The old rock shox is siezed up and may not be serviceable any more?
